Meeting Wednesday 7th June: Gear Hire from 7:15pm, talk featuring a talk on Feral Goats and Deer management

  • Feral Goats and Deer management in Morialta and Blackhill Conservation ParksGear hire for the June long weekend will be available from 7.15pm onwards.
  • Tonight’s speaker will be Dave Heard, Senior Ranger, Adelaide & Mt Lofty Ranges. He’ll explain how they are managing feral goats and deer in Morialta and Blackhill Conservation Parks, and share his perspective on managing the park with its challenges and rewards.
  • All members are welcome to join a ‘pre-dinner’ at the pub across the road from 6pm onwards. Please note they have changed their name (and management) back to the ‘Daniel O’Connell’. Same dining offer for ABW members: buy any meal over $20 and get a free house wine or tap beer. A tentative booking has been made for 20 people so just rock up if you’re keen.
