Meeting Wednesday 7th September: Creating Offline Digital Maps for Bushwalking

Member speaker: Nino Fioretti

This will be a practical presentation showing how to access freely available online map sources to create offline maps in a range of formats. These formats include OziExplorer, Handheld GPS units and Smartphones. Items discussed will include OziExplorer, Mobac, OkMap, OruxMaps and OpenStreetMaps.

Route planning and GPS navigation is beyond the scope of this talk and will not be covered.
