This Wednesday’s guest speakers will be Simon Cameron and Julian Monfries from the Friends of the Heysen Trail. The organisation of volunteers maintains the Heysen Trail in partnership with the Government of SA and other stakeholders.

They’ll present on how the trail was taken from a vision to a reality, the ongoing work of maintaining such a long trail, and the challenge of engaging with government departments to keep the trail experience alive. Simon is a member of ABW and has led many walks.
